Healthy Homemade Ranch (That Actually Tastes Delicious)

Ranch dressing is a staple in nearly every midwest household. Considering I was born and raised in Michigan, this recipe was inevitable. This healthy, yet delicious dressing pairs perfectly with Mesquite Chicken Wings, Buffalo Chicken Salad, or along side a veggie platter.

Homemade Ranch Dressing

Yield: 1 cup / Serving size: 2 Tbsp Calories: 72 Fat: 6g Carbs: 2g Protein: 1g Sugar: 2g

Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cup homemade mayonnaise*

  2. 3/4 cup organic buttermilk

  3. 1/4 cup organic sour cream

  4. 2 tsp. fresh chives

  5. 1 tsp. fresh dill

  6. 1 tsp. fresh parsley

  7. 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

  8. 1/2 tsp. onion powder

  9. 1/4 tsp. Himalayan sea salt

  10. 1/8 tsp. fresh cracked pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except buttermilk.

  2. Whisk until smooth.

  3. Stir in buttermilk.

Best if chilled for 2 hours or so.

*You can use store-bought mayonnaise. Avocado or coconut mayo would be healthy options. Hellmans or otherwise, not so much.

*Option to make Healthy Homemade Ranch dressing with Dry Ranch Seasoning. In which case, you’d simply add sour cream and mayo to 3 Tbsp of Dry Ranch Seasoning.
